Tonight will be our first session of RPG Table-talk. We can build some back-up characters for the various in-store games should something ..erm... untimely happen. We will also be discussing game-styles, game-mastering, monster building, house rules, and campaign development. I’ll throw on the 80s playlist and a 9-hour Norwegian railway video and we can just relax and chat. Cheers!
An impromptu war-game has broken out in the store. Come on down and root for your favorite tanks!
Tonight is your night to come in a play some casual MTG Commander or blast hostile alien pirate ghosts in the Starfinder RPG. We look forward to seeing you!
Come visit the eldritch horrors of a small town in 1970s Oregon in tonight’s game of Call of Cthulhu, the Role-Playing Game.
Not gonna lie, last night was a lot to handle. That was a very well-attended Adventures in Middle-Earth RPG session. I suddenly realize how much Elrond must have had to contend with when he dealt with his nine. I feel a little guilty about trying to shoehorn in the combat when it had already gotten late like that and I promise that such shoehorning (a word I’ve literally never used before) will not happen again. As Adventures in Middle-Earth is an inherently narrative-driven experience, it’s just a safe bet that there will be a lot of content of the non-stabby-slashy variety. On rare occasion, some sessions just won’t have combat, and that’s okay. That said, I will be brainstorming and streamlining should we get full-attendance (or more) again, and I guarantee a smoother ride next time. Also, as a new rule, the session will ONLY take place between 5PM and 9PM, no exceptions.
1st - The Raven Company Elites will receive 10% off of Adventures in Middle-Earth Players Handbooks, as well as dice, during Monday sessions.
2nd - If someone feels SUPER comfortable with game-mastering a very lore-heavy Middle Earth game, please talk to me. I will be selective about experience, attitude, and schedule. However, I can give a lot of ideas, lore, etc.
Cheers to you and yours and have a beautiful autumn day!
I want to take a minute and remind our gamers that we live on a temporal plane and time matters. Please, treat your time as preciously as it deserves. If you’re feeling stretched thin and overwhelmed, consider whether or not you’re in a situation that can change or be relaxed. If others’ wills are making demands of you that won’t allow for any joy, then you need to examine those relationships and look at what you can change. You are the captain of your time. You explore a sea of temporary pains and joys that are best navigated by a respectful and patient hand. I hope that all of you can find your own way to be satisfied with your direction and how you use your time. May you have joy, because you deserve it.
I'll see ya in the store. Cheers to you and yours.
