Not gonna lie, last night was a lot to handle. That was a very well-attended Adventures in Middle-Earth RPG session. I suddenly realize how much Elrond must have had to contend with when he dealt with his nine. I feel a little guilty about trying to shoehorn in the combat when it had already gotten late like that and I promise that such shoehorning (a word I’ve literally never used before) will not happen again. As Adventures in Middle-Earth is an inherently narrative-driven experience, it’s just a safe bet that there will be a lot of content of the non-stabby-slashy variety. On rare occasion, some sessions just won’t have combat, and that’s okay. That said, I will be brainstorming and streamlining should we get full-attendance (or more) again, and I guarantee a smoother ride next time. Also, as a new rule, the session will ONLY take place between 5PM and 9PM, no exceptions.
Two side-notes: 1st - The Raven Company Elites will receive 10% off of Adventures in Middle-Earth Players Handbooks, as well as dice, during Monday sessions. 2nd - If someone feels SUPER comfortable with game-mastering a very lore-heavy Middle Earth game, please talk to me. I will be selective about experience, attitude, and schedule. However, I can give a lot of ideas, lore, etc. Cheers to you and yours and have a beautiful autumn day! |
